I know how to move us forward by building communities and enabling the voices of a wide variety of people to be heard. .
I founded a nonprofit organization, Innovation Network, Inc., that has provided support to thousands of grassroots organizations around the country in areas such as affordable housing, food scarcity, immigration, and women’s rights.
More recently, I’ve been a pioneer in using online technology to help not hurt people. I’ve written three books with this central theme: Matterness: Fearless Leadership for a Social World, the award-winning Momentum: Igniting Social Change in the Connected Age, and co-author of the bestselling The Networked Nonprofit (which was just selected best nonprofit management book by Forbes Magazine.)
I am a past president of my synagogue, Temple Beth Abraham, in Tarrytown, NY, a former faculty member of the Union of Reform Judaism, and current member of the Westchester Advisory Committee of the UJA-Federation.
AND I have a wonderful husband, Scott Freiman, and three amazing sons!
